| We are 'Witch Theatre' two wild witches who have been working with performance to bring herbal medicine to the masses. Our stunning, silver American Airstream caravan gives birth to a range of walkabout characters that personify our magical, herbal potions. | |
While our audience sup a drop from the 'potion pipette', they experience a full range of sensations. | |
 Seeing the witches in their seasonal guises, people can interact with the plant's characters themselves.
Witch Walkabout Witch Walkabout is a totally unique, educational, interactive theatrical performance with larger than life characters to delight and entertain all, young and old... Witches are inextricably linked with nature and medicine. They are the herbalists, midwives and gardeners, deeply connected with the mysteries and magic of our natural world. | |

Our 4 Characters: 'The Witch Womyn' Each set of two 'witches' will have a beautifully illustrated short story of the plants and their characters to give to the audience as a memory of their experience. |

Spring 'Green Witches' Green Spring witches, who've replaced their brooms with feather dusters, administer Earth Clarity drops made from elderflower and plantain. They represent all that is new and budding; they talk of seed growth and germination, reproduction and pollination and how this season can affect us as living organisms. They show you the plants that grow that can ease your hay fever or runny nose. Whilst awash with the taste sensations, our Sprightly Spring Cleaners can dust away any unwanted thoughts and irritating pollen. |

Summer 'Fire Witches'Saucy fire witches roam the streets with
Flame Boy on stilts in search of those who need dosing up with our
special chilli passion potion, 'Dragon's Breath'. They
speak of the beauty of nature, how plants and flowers
attract a mate or spore, about enchanting fragrances
and the power of the sun. |

Autumnal 'Mama Witches' Autumn mamas come out to ensure that nothing has been forgotten or lost, armed with clean socks and post-it notes to remind you when to take your vitamins… They talk of growth and nurture, how to nourish and look after yourself. They can give you nourishing rosehip syrup in the form of 'Keep Your Cool' drops while they rub your cheeks and tell you not to be home too late for tea. They talk of weird and wonderful goings on in nature, programmed cell death of the falling leaves and the cycles of life. How nuts n berries n seeds have formed and the nourishment they can provide, essential as the sun retreats. Wintry 'Wise Witches'Fantastical wintry fairy-tale-witches
offer words of
wisdom. Their magic spyglasses transform the
mundane into the fantastical when you peep into
the world of the wild witch. As we retreat indoors
for the winter, it is a time for reflection and
contemplation, the wise woman comes out to play
in us all, especially with the help
of 'Clear Vision' (bilberry and heather). The end but also the
beginning of the next cycle of the seasonal witches and the earth they represent.

The Witch Workshop When we aren't on walkabout we will be running drop-in witch workshops. People are invited into the Airstream which is our mobile health and environmental Education Centre, The Witch Workshop. Here, people are invited to learn about the art of remedy creation, the history of witchcraft and herbal medicine and the plants that grow around us. We do the odd herb 'witch walk' as well. We have a reference library of herbal medicine and witchcraft books and are always at hand to answer any questions.
Green WitchcraftThere are many fears and misunderstandings
surrounding witchcraft and herbalism which
have caused misinterpretation and forced
secrecy. As two herbalists who plant, grow,
harvest and produce all our own medicinal
remedies we are practising green witchcraft
on a daily basis and, through our openness,
wish to dispel any negative myths. |
